Week 04: Tweens

Lesson Intention:

I will learn about tweening in animaiton

I will learn how to create motion tweens, shape tweens and motion path tweens.

Success Criteria

I will create at least one tween.

I will understand how using tweens save time in animation

Warm Up

What is Tweening:
Short for in-betweening, the process of generating intermediate frames between two images to give the appearance that the first image evolves smoothly into the second image. Tweening is a key process in all types of animation, including computer animation. Sophisticated animation software enables you to identify specific objects in an image and define how they should move and change during the tweening process.

Open the folder and create.

  • A shape tween
  • A motion tween
  • A motion path tween

What did you learn today about tweens? When is it best to use tweening? When is it best to use stop frame animation? Did you complete the success criteria? What obstacles did you experience today and how did you overcome them?

Homework Tasks.

If possible download a the free trail version of  Animate CC  and create some basic tween animations.

Go to Youtube or Google, watch or if possible complete tutorials on
